The best social media platform for brand awareness

The algorithm is committed to showing users accounts they search for and interact with the most. It’s not your bio or your logo, it’s your content and instagrams algorithm that determines which posts users should see most. This means that the goal is to keep you and other users on their (Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube) platform to boost revenue, engagement. The algorithm is not a negative thing. However it is not impossible to build a buzz around your brand, even with the influx of celebrity entrepreneurs and You-tubers. In my search for a solution that I know we all have found ourselves perplexed on, here’s what I found: Social media is about keeping people on THEIR apps, not sending them to YOUR website or brand. This is why your posts are not being seen or are being restricted, amongst other reasons. I value saving time and found that social media will consume your life force. Also, I didn’t want to become an entrepreneur to promote someone else’s brand but essentially that is what social media is …

Failure is a delay, not defeat…

Failure is delay, not defeat. Success takes time and for these and other reasons a lot people give up on their dreams because the beginning stages are always the hardest. When you’re having a tough time in life it can be hard to see the good in any situation. You start to believe that nothing can change and you begin to feel ‘stuck.’ Maybe things didn’t work out the way you expected. The right opportunities never came along. It doesn’t matter the reason, what matters is that that reason is what’s holding you back. Failure leads to multiple learning opportunities to becoming who you are meant to be. Feeling ‘stuck’ comes from a place of fear and limits. You are start to fear failure an avoid situations where failure is a possibility. Such as applying for a new job or avoiding serious commitment. When you say, “yes,” to your limits you are saying “no” to your possibilities.  Choose to be empowered by failure instead of weakened by it.  It is better to endure hardships live …

The impact fear has on success

When you’re having a tough time in life it can be hard to see the good in any situation. At least if you’re feeling how I did a few weeks ago when I project I had been working on, spending money and countless hours, persistently for months fell through because of reasons beyond my control.  You start to believe that nothing can change and you begin to feel ‘stuck.’ Maybe things didn’t work out the way you expected. The right opportunities never came along. It doesn’t matter the reason, what matters is that it is holding you back. Failure leads to multiple learning opportunities to become who you are meant to be. Feeling ‘stuck’ comes from a place of fear and limits. You begin to fear failure and avoid situations where it is a possibility. No one wants to ever say aloud, “I fear success,” because it seems awkward to say. Everyone wants to be successful. We all work to have things that we want and to live an independent life. However, there are many …

Signs you’re ready for entrepreneurship

Maybe you’re at work right now wishing you were anywhere else. Not because you don’t need the income but you have a desire burning in you to do what you love. Social media can be a catalyst as it easy to scroll to a feed of someone seemingly living their best life with their free time.  Many of us aspire to entrepreneurship because we see it as a gateway to doing what you love. However, entrepreneurship can be one of the toughest jobs out there. As the saying goes, you have to be prepared to work 80 hours instead of 40 to make a business work. A lot more goes into being an entrepreneur than having a dream. That is why being a dreamer is tough. We want to achieve but we are creatives and can often get stuck over analyzing our steps. We just want to show the world what we can do. But, you ha e to ask yourself, is it something the world needs right now? I was prepared to launch my …

Simple techniques to reduce stress

Life will throw many challenges at you. Some challenges will be easier to overcome than others. Which can make work/life balance seem impossible. At times when life has become increasingly overwhelming it can be hard to stay positive and focused on the big picture. Keep in mind, however, that stress is a choice.

Strategies to help you uncover your purpose

One thing I know is that passion builds empires. Passion is what led Steve Jobs to return to Apple after being fired 12 years later and turn into a billion dollar company. Passion is also what led Oprah to become one the first African-American billionaires. after being told she would never make it in show business. Passion is what separates a career from a job. It also is the determining factor when deciding if you’re just living of existing. You have to boldly seek your passions so that your purpose will ultimately show itself. Everyone has a purpose. Don’t count yourself out because you can’t choose one or you feel that you weren’t born with a passion. Some of us are born with the talent that is recognizable to the world. For instance, Ariana Grande has a vocal range that spans 4 octaves without any formal vocal training. It’s obvious she was born to sing. However, not all passions are obvious. You have a gift and can cultivate passion. Passion ties you to being committed to what …

The benefits of having engaged employees

The current trend is to job hop, so don’t feel alone if you are having a hard time figuring out what you want to do. According to a recent Gallup poll millennials are least engaged at work with at least 60 percent being open to a new job opportunity. With the average tenure of a millennial employee being 2 years. Loving what you do has major benefits. One of them being more opportunities.  You will spend your time focused on what you’re doing and give it your best.
